VALIDATED
I do not need you to validate me.
Calm down, don’t get in your feelings.
I am not in mine.
I am simply stating truth.
You see, it has taken me quite some time to realize that I am enough.
My words are enough. My thoughts are enough. My feelings are enough… for me.
You don’t have to agree.
You don’t have to say a word.
But you will understand.
That my self-worth comes from my Creator.
My self-love is a direct reflection of the love He has for me.
Because of His love for me. I can love me. I can love you, too.
I do not need your words to validate my experience.
My life is happening in real time and has real feelings, thoughts and actions attached to it.
My experience is my own and not worthy of your condescension, negativity or sanitizing.
I do not need your pity or your praise.
Neither of those will satisfy my soul, which longs for something more.
Your words I will not treasure or hold close to my heart.
Your actions I will observe but not depend on.
Your thoughts may be kind but they will not circumvent the truth.
I will not replace my source of truth with you.
Thank you for giving me an audience to express how I feel.
But I am not seeking your validation and I never will.
